STARS TRIUMPH TWICE OVER ICE DOGS TO MOVE INTO EQUAL SECOND

A great weekend for the North Stars in the Australian Ice Hockey League, with Newcastle scoring wins against the Ice Dogs at home and in Sydney.

On Saturday night, the North Stars started well, Josh Harris scoring after solid lead up work by Beau Taylor.

The Ice Dogs hit back with a goal shortly before the end of the first period.

But from there it was all Newcastle.

Connor McLaughlin scored two, while Harris would finish with a hat trick, as the North Stars scored a comfortable 5-1 victory to move to equal second on the ladder.
