A 33-year-old man has been charged with the murder of missing Lake Macquarie man, Christopher Daunt.
The 28-year-old self-employed builder disappeared in April last year.
Police allege Mr Daunt was fatally assaulted at a home in North Lambton before his body was dumped at Seahampton.
It’s also alleged the man who murdered him was a friend.
Human remains have been found at Seahampton near Mount Sugarloaf Road. Forensic officers are examining the scene for further clues today.
33-year-old Chris Robertson did not appear in Newcastle Local Court today, where he was refused bail.
