The wraps officially come off new design concepts for the redevelopment of Newcastle’s historic Post Office tomorrow, but here’s a sneak peek.
The bold designs include an Indigenous Art Hotel, rising ten floors above the existing building.
There’s also an idea for an Indigenous Medical Institute.
Owners of the building, the Awabakal Land Council are looking for a joint venture partner for the redevelopment.
The designs will be discussed at a Property Council lunch on Thursday.

Something is better than nothing once it falls apart it can be torn down just like alot of our buldings. I believe in keeping our heritage but we have to willing to give as well
