RAIN MAKES MINIMAL IMPACT ON CHAFFEY DAMN
Despite more than 60 millimetres of rain across the Tamworth region over the weekend, Chaffey Dam still sits at 20.4 per cent of its new 100,000 gigalitre capacity.
It means that Tamworth, Kootingal and Moonbi will remain on level four water restrictions.
Dungowan Dam has risen to 61 per cent, but can’t be used to supplement the local supply until it reaches 65.
But in positive news, the Upper Peel and MacDonald Rivers have increased flows, raising the possibility that restrictions could soon be eased at Nundle and Bendemeer.
