SES WARNS OF TORRENTIAL RAIN IN NEW ENGLAND
People in the New England North West are being warned of the possibility of torrential rain this weekend.
25 to 50 millimetres has been forecast from Friday afternoon until Saturday morning, with potential isolated falls nearing a centimetre.
The MacIntyre and Gwydir rivers have been labelled the most at risk.
With the heavy downpours predicted for this weekend, the State Emergency Service are reminding people not to drive through floodwater.
While cleaning out roof gutters and unblocking drains has also been advised.
