END OF AN ERA FOR SEAFOOD CO-OP
Today marked the end of an era for one of Port Macquarie’s iconic businesses.
After 70 years of trading, the Hastings River Fishermen’s Co-operative closed its doors for the final time.
Last year, it was ordered by the Department of Primary Industries to vacate and demolish the building.
The business employed 13 casual staff, and sold produce from seven local fishermen.
