The battling Newcastle Knights have been dealt another blow with confirmation today injured playmaker Jarrod Mullen will be out of the game for 10 to 12 weeks.
Mullen ruptured a hamstring tendon in the Knights loss to Manly 11 days ago and he’ll now undergo surgery.
“After a follow-up review appointment with the specialist on Friday morning, Jarrod Mullen has been booked in for surgery on Tuesday,” said the Knights in a statement.
“Mullen’s treatment will be conservative until at least a progress appointment next week with the specialist,” it said.
The Knights who’ve won just one game this year, have the weekend off, and meet the in-form Sharks on Sunday week in Newcastle.
