MARINERS SEEK CAPITAL GAINS

The first time the Mariners played an A-League game in Canberra, Lawrie McKinna was head coach and Alex Wilkinson scored his first goal in his 89th appearance.

Today the club announced it’s taking a match to the nations capital for the first time since 2009, with the yellow and navy to host Wellington Phoenix at GIO Stadium.

Chief Executive Shaun Mielecamp says “It’s the first step towards forming a long term strategic partnership with the region.”
