Young cricketers were treated to lessons from a seasoned professional at Kingsford Smith Park in Ballina today.
Australian test bowler Nathan Lyon was in town to lend a hand at his brother Brendan’s junior coaching clinic.
“We get to come down, learn some new tips from Brendan and Nathan.”
“They’re teaching us how to catch, field. Here they’re teaching us how to bat.”
“I love being able to give back to cricket. Cricket’s been great for myself, so for me to come up here to Ballina today and see 60 kids running around, playing cricket at the start of the footy season is fantastic.”
The two-day event was organised by Cricket New South Wales.
