TEENS GIVEN HELPING HAND

A group of youths, hailing from the Hunter and Central Coast, are a step closer to achieving their dreams.

The 13 teenagers, who currently live in social housing, were awarded scholarships from Compass Housing, funded by the Newcastle Permanent Charitable Foundation.

The $1,500 grants will help them chase goals that may have otherwise been out of reach.

They include academic, sporting and music endeavours.
