VOLUNTEER SCHOOL WORKER AIRLIFTED AFTER BARBEQUE FLARE UP

UPDATE: A woman has been airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital after a flare up from barbeque in Holgate this morning.

Around 10:30am, paramedics on the Central Coast responded to reports of an incident at Holgate Public School on Wattle Tree Road.

On arrival the paramedics found that a volunteer parent had been cooking on a barbeque when it flared up, resulting in superficial burns to her face, neck and chest.

The woman, aged in her 40’s, was airlifted to Royal North Shore hospital as a precaution.
