UPDATE: 33-year-old, Benjamin Batterham, has been charged with murder following the death of a man who allegedly broke into a house on Cleary Street in Hamilton early Saturday morning.
Batterham was refused bail this morning at Newcastle Court.
34-year-old Richard Slater died after his life support was switched off yesterday at John Hunter Hospital.
