A man’s been robbed on the streets of Tamworth after withdrawing money from at ATM.
The 27-year-old was returning to his car in the early hours of this morning, after withdrawing money on the corner of Bridge and Crown Streets.
He was approached by a man who demanded money, then struck twice on the right leg with a metal bar.
When the victim yelled for help, a second man grabbed him, threatened him and stole his wallet.
The assailants left when they were disturbed by witnesses.
The first man is described as being Caucasian, in his late 30s, 180 centimetres tall with a grey and brown beard.
The second man is also described as Caucasian, in his late 20s with a medium build and dark hair.
