FORMER RFS VOLUNTEER JAILED FOR EIGHT YEARS OVER 2013 BUSHFIRE
A former volunteer fire fighter who deliberately lit the devastating 2013 Catherine Hill Bay bushfire has been sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Alex Gordon Noble was in the Rural Fire Service when he started two blazes on September 26 and 30, which burnt thousands of hectares and destroyed the historic Wallarah House.
He’ll be eligible for parole in 2020.
