A 65-year-old woman has been hit and killed by a car at Cooranbong, south of Newcastle.
Police were called to Freemans Drive shortly after 10.30 this morning.
It’s not yet known how the accident happened.
The road was closed, while crash investigators studied the scene.
The female driver of the car was taken to Wyong Hospital for mandatory testing.
