NEWCASTLE SWIMS, CYCLES AND RUNS FOR SPARKE HELMORE TRIATHLON

There were no lazy Sundays on the Newcastle waterfront this morning, with hundreds of competitors taking part in the annual Sparke Helmore NBN Triathlon.

The event, held at Nobbys Beach, offers varying swim, cycle and running distances, and also attracted plenty of keen spectators.

A percentage of the entry fees is directed to the Hunter Medical Research Institute.

We’ll have the results from the Olympic distance category, later in sport.
