TRIBUTES FOR SERGEANT GEOFFREY RICHARDSON

A family has been torn apart, and the police force is reeling, after a road accident claimed the life of a Hunter officer.

The 43-year-old sergeant from Port Stephens died while on duty last night, when his police car struck a tree as he responded to a pursuit.

  1. I worked with this Sergeant for years in the West of NSW. My heart sank when I heard the news. Why? He helped anyone and everyone. He was a beautiful family man whose kids adored him. He was a devout, amazing husband and a firm but fair cop. The world has lost a beautiful man and wonderful law enforcement officer. RIP my friend.
