FEEDBACK SOUGHT ON CYCLEWAYS PROJECT

Newcastle residents are being urged to have their say, on plans to expand the city’s cycleways.
The Cycle Safe Network wants to create an extra 160 kilometres of cycleways, to better connect suburbs.
“Most people say they want to ride, they want to cycle, they would love to be able to walk around and they don’t have any infrastructure. So this is about enabling independence.”)
It’s putting together a business case to present to the state government, in the hope of securing funding.

I think that it is a good move for all road users, bikes travel slower than cars, so to keep the peace this idea has merit.to have a separation zone. Good to see somebody has some forward thinking.
