NEW JETS SIGNING FOCUSING ON OLYROO DUTY

New Jets’ signing, Steven Ugarkovic, and his Olyroo teammates have wrapped up their camp in Dubai, in the lead up to the Under 23 AFC Championships in Qatar.
The 21 year old says he’s watched the A-League with interest during his career in Croatia and is excited to be moving to Newcastle.
“Can’t wait. Happy to be a part of the club, giving me the chance to come away with the Olyroos, can’t wait to get back as well, but hopefully we get our job done here first.”
Former Jet, Josh Brilliante, is also part of the squad which is six games away from Olympic qualification.
“If we can qualify for that it would be amazing, just to go and say I played in the Olympics, it’d be crazy. I think all the boys would feel the same way.”
Australia’s first game is against the UAE on Wednesday.
