A young mother, who was struck by a reversing car in Newcastle yesterday, remains in a stable condition in hospital.
The 31-year-old was dining at Vinyl Cafe on Perkins Street when a Toyota sedan hit a taxi, before striking the woman and her baby boy.
She was trapped under the vehicle for a short period of time, before a group of witnesses managed to lift the car off her.
The infant was placed in intensive care, suffering head injuries.
