MOTHER AND SON AIRLIFTED AFTER RECEIVING SERIOUS BURNS IN HOUSE FIRE

A woman in her 40s and her son have received serious injuries following a house fire in Muswellbrook, early this afternoon.

Fire crews arrived on scene at Bligh Street at about 2pm, to find a cottage well alight.

The woman suffered airway burns and is being flown to the Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
