Armidale High School is one of 11 public schools state-wide chosen to train the next generation of teachers.
The state government’s ‘Professional Experience’ program will ensure student teachers receive on-the-job training.
Under the program, which begins next year, schools will offer guaranteed practical teaching positions to university students.
Armidale High School will work closely with the University of New England until the end of 2017.
