It may be 10 weeks until Christmas, but the Newcastle Basket Brigade is already busy sorting gifts.
The charity, which collects and anonymously donates festive hampers, is calling on the community to help it put together 1,000 hampers by December.
It’s already got about 300, but still needs more volunteers, non-perishable food and other donations.
