There are calls for the state government to fast track the remediation of the former AGL gasworks site at Hamilton.
Labor MP Tim Crakanthorp has attacked the Coalition, over what he claims is a failure by the EPA to take quick action on the issue.
The site has been identified as having significant contamination, with its owner Jemena ordered to begin remediation last year.
The EPA says it’s monitoring the process, and will enforce its regulatory powers if the work isn’t complete by the end of 2016.
