STATE GOVERNMENT TO INVESTIGATE LABOR’S HAWKESBURY BRIDGE CLAIMS
The state government has dismissed comments made by Opposition leader Luke Foley that the Hawkesbury train bridge is unsafe.
Mr Foley labelled the bridge a “disaster waiting to happen”, citing a report from 20-13 that said maintenance work needed to be carried out within one year.
Minister for Transport, Andrew Constance says the bridge poses “no danger whatsoever.”
But he has asked the Office of Transport Safety Investigations to investigate the claims.
“We want to be doubly satisfied that there is no risk to customers,” he said.
