Police are appealing for witnesses, after a young girl was approached at Bar Beach over the weekend.
The four-year-old was walking with her mother along the promenade at around 11am on Saturday, when a man approached her and committed a lewd act.
The man is believed to be aged in his late 40s or early 50s.
He was wearing a white jumper, white shorts and a bright yellow cap.
