A phone scam targeting elderly residents in the Manning Great Lakes has prompted a warning from local police.
Reports suggest the scammers have been phoning members of the public, claiming to be from the Australian Tax Office, demanding money and threatening jail time if victims failed to pay.
Anyone who has been contacted is being urged to call police or Scamwatch on 1300 795 995.
