Seven towns across the New England North West have been named in a national survey of the top 100 best performing property markets since 2000.
According to a Brisbane investment analyst, Gunnedah and the Liverpool Plains have come in at equal 38th.
The median house price in Gunnedah has increased from $80,000 in 2000 to $290,000 in 2014.
Narrabri, Glen Innes, Moree, Guyra and Inverell also ranked, while Tamworth recorded the highest population growth rate in the region and claimed equal 163rd place alongside Uralla.
