The Hunter is now home to a third beauty queen, with Thornton teenager Sonny Turner taking out the Miss Teen Global United pageant in the United States.
The 15-year-old has just returned from Florida with a crown in hand, adding yet another to the several junior crowns she already holds.
But it’s not all about the tiaras and sashes, charity work also plays a big role.
Sonny recently told NBN News that she wants to start by helping orphans in Nepal.
