A man has died after a boat capsized at Port Stephens this morning.
Two men were in the vessel just before 10 o’clock, when it capsized, throwing the pair into the water near Broughton Island.
One of the men was able to swim to safety, before being rescued by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
The other couldn’t be saved.
Early investigations suggest both men weren’t wearing life jackets.
