HOLLYWOOD LANDS AT HASTINGS

Extremely disappointed NBN Ch9 Lismore has NOT picked up this story. My family lives near the Hastings Point film area of Pirates of the Caribbean set. Many locals from Pottsville Beach, Byron Bay, Murwillumbah, Cabarita Beach, Tweed and all surrounding areas including Newcastle unfortunately won’t be seeing any of the Gold Coast ch 9 broadcast, shame that NBN Lismore and NBN Gold Coast don’t share news worthy stories across the border and particularly this story, large the crowds of fans have been attracted to Hastings Point to get a glimpse of Johnny Depp being filmed at Hastings Point. My husband and I are very disapppointed with the response from the news team when we rang NBN Lismore and NBN Gold Coast to ask why such a news worthy story as this is not covered & shared by all NBN & WIN Ch9 stations. It’s not every day some one as famous as Johnny Depp comes filming in your “own back yard”. 1 of the news people on the desk at NBN Lismore suggested we turn our antena toward the north to pick up Gold Coast news… sorry this really isn’t a good enough answer.
