Organisers of the Black Diamond AFL competition predict Newcastle clubs will enjoy a resurgence this year.
2015 will also see a women’s competition for the first time.
“It’ll be fantastic for the league in the fact it helps the clubs out by making them more as one with the women and the men… The interest has been fantastic from the women, it’s exceeded what we expected.”
The Black Diamond season begins on Anzac Day.
