LABOR REGAINS STRONGHOLD IN CENTRAL COAST

The Labor Party has regained its stronghold on the Central Coast, claiming at least three seats in yesterday’s election.

David Mehan seized a tight victory over Michael Sharpe to take The Entrance, while Yasmin Catley was another success story, in Swansea.

David Harris will return to his former seat of Wyong.

“It’s a great honour, something I treasure and I’m going to be working as hard as I possibly can to repay that confidence.”

Mr Harris says he’ll now focus on ensuring the Liberal government makes good on its election promises.

“It’s going to be holding the Baird government to account. They’ve made a lot of promises for the Central Coast, and we have to make sure that they deliver on all their promises.”
