Tired shoppers in Coffs Harbour will now have somewhere to rest their weary feet, with Coffs City Councillor Nan Cowling unveiling the first of two specialised park benches today.
Located between Park Beach Plaza and Columbus Circuit, $2,500 was allocated for the fully recycled, plastic seats.
It’s hoped the resting points will help rejuvenate the park.
“To allow the people who live in this area to walk through to the shopping centre and have a rest while they’re going, because at the moment they’re upturning trollies and sitting on trollies, now that’s a disgrace for our community.” Cr Nan Cowling
The second bench will be built on Thursday.
