Police are calling on the public to help find a man who indecently assaulted a teenage girl on the Mid North Coast.
The 16-year-old says she was running along Lake Cathie Beach, between 9pm and 11pm on Monday night, when she stopped to speak to three men who said they were lost.
One of the men than grabbed the girl and indecently assaulted her before the two other men intervened.
The men then left the scene.
The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20s, about 185-190cm tall with a medium build, dark brown hair and a tribal tattoo above his left elbow. He was wearing dark pants and a T-shirt.
Police say the trio may be travelling in a vehicle with a loud engine.
