TWO GIRLS CHARGED OVER MOREE ARMED ROBBER

Two teenage girls have been charged following an armed robbery on an auto parts store in Moree yesterday afternoon.

At around 3:30pm, a 17-year-old girl armed with a metal pole and knife and a 14-year-old girl also armed with a knife, allegedly threatened staff at the store.

They demanded cash before running from the Heber Street store.

Three girls were arrested in Boston Street a short time later by police before being taken to Moree Police Station.

The two girls were charged and refused bail as investigations continue as to the involvement of a third girl.
