A 31-year-old man has been refused bail, after allegedly leading police on a pursuit in Newcastle’s CBD, while pointing a handgun out a car window.
The chase came to an end in front of Newcastle Railway Station, where the man was arrested.
Officers say he had called police earlier, requesting assistance, but when they arrived he drove away.
He’s been charged under Skye’s Law, and also with several firearm offences.
