A service station worker has been threatened by a masked man wielding a hammer, during a hold-up in the Hunter.
Around 1:30 this morning, the bandit smashed a glass door at the Caltex on Richardson Road at Raymond Terrace.
He demanded money from a male attendant, before running off with a small amount of cash.
Police say the thief was wearing a dark t-shirt, grey pants, and had his head covered with a white cloth.
