Maitland City Council has released a statement, regarding the near drowning of a 60 year old woman at Maitland Pool yesterday.
“There was an incident yesterday at Maitland Pool around 12.50pm where a woman was found floating on her back partially submerged at the 20m mark at the shallow end of the pool. Lifeguards performed CPR until the paramedics arrived, and the Westpac Helicopter service transported the woman to hospital. The Paramedics praised Council Lifeguarding staff for their quick response and management of the situation.”
