A 66-year-old man has been refused bail, after being charged with murdering 38-year-old aged care worker Renee Mitchell, whose body was found in a reserve in the Lake Macquarie suburb of Windale yesterday.
Police arrested Graham Sloane at Cardiff, and seized his car for forensic examination.
A police submission opposing bail was tendered to Newcastle Court today, alleging the mother of four was stabbed and killed between 4:30 and 5pm on Tuesday.
Sloane is due to return to court on January 8.
