Southport swimmer Melanie Wright, known to most as Mel Schlanger, has voiced concerns about competing in Russia for the World Championships next July.
The Olympian made the comments, the morning after being named Bond University’s Sports Woman of the Year.
Wright will compete at the State Championships next month.
