Former Mariners Youth Coach, Patrick Zwaanswijk, is suing the club for wrongful dismissal.
Lawyer for the Dutch import, Peter Moore, says Zwaanswijk was sacked without being given proper notice.
The 39-year-old’s three-year coaching contract was ripped up in June, after retiring from the playing field less than a month earlier.
It’s understood Zwaanswijk is seeking almost $250,000 in damages.
The Mariners have refused to comment.
