After almost two years, and countless problems with Council Development Applications, work has finally begun to rebuild Mount Warning Hotel.
Locals were shocked when the historic building went up in flames in February last year.
The hotel’s owners say, nothing could be salvaged from the original building, to include in the new structure.
“We’re not trying to replicate what the old pub was. We’re trying to start fresh and give it our own look, but incorporating the heritage look as well.”
The owners had hoped to open the new hotel by Christmas.
They now estimate work will wrap up by the middle of next year.
