Police have found what they believe is the body of a fisherman who went missing at Forster yesterday.
The body was found in near Regatta Island, two kilometres from where the fisherman disappeared.
It was found by another fisherman around midday on Thursday afternoon.
32-year-old William Lam was fishing with his son when he jumped into the water to retrieve his son’s shoes. He was taken away by a strong current and the conditions on the water were made worse by a strong wind.
Mr Lam from Sydney, was holidaying in the area with his wife and two children.
