A 27-year-old man has been charged after he allegedly intimidated two Muslim women in Newcastle last night.
At around 7pm, a 26-year-old woman and her mother were sitting in a car that was stationary in traffic on Smith Street Newcastle West, when a man approached them.
He allegedly yelled abusive comments and punched the driver’s side mirror.
A number of witnesses went to the women’s aid, but it’s alleged the man punched one of them.
He’s facing six charges including intimidation, assault and malicious damage.
