A six-year-old girl is recovering in hospital after her ear was bitten off by her family’s dog.
The child was attacked by the bull arab cross while playing in the backyard of her Taree home on Sunday.
She was flown to Sydney’s Westmead Children’s Hospital for reconstructive surgery.
The animal has since been euthanised.
