BOOMERANGS KNOCKED OUT

Moree’s dream of adding the Koori Knockout trophy to its Group 19 premiership is over, after going down to last year’s runners up.

The Boomerangs started poorly against Mindaribba, conceding a try in the opening set.

Nathan Davis managed to lock up the scores for half time though, beating four defenders on his way to the line.

The Boomerangs started the second half slow, and their opponents took advantage.

The Warriors scored three tries in the space of seven minutes.

Two late tries to Moree proved nothing more than consolation, as the side bowed out of the competition with a 24-14 loss.
