400 COMPETITORS TO HIT FORSTER FOR THE PROFESSIONAL WEEKEND OF SURF

More than 400 people from 42 surf life saving clubs around New South Wales will descend on Forster’s Main Beach this weekend for the 19th annual Professional Weekend of Surf.

The competition starts on Saturday with an eight kilometre ocean ski race, followed by an ironman event.

“This year we’ve probably got about 23 state medallists coming up from various clubs, especially the under 15’s and 17’s, probably got about 55 competitors in each of the age groups, so we’re looking for some really hot competition over the weekend.”

The Cooks Hill Surf Club from Newcastle is the favourite to take out the event.
