TWO MEN IMPERSONATE BEING POLICE

Police are appealing for the public’s help to find two men who impersonated being police officers at Hamilton East at the weekend.

At around 10pm on Saturday, a 45-year-old man was sitting outside his Parkway Avenue house when a man approached him, claiming to be a police officer.

The man became suspicious and locked himself inside his home, before contacting police.

The male was seeing leaving the house in a dark blue Holden Commodore, with another man in the passenger seat.

The first man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 40s, about 183 centimetres tall, with a solid build and a bald head.

The second is also Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 40s, about 185 centimetres tall, with a medium build and blonde hair.

At the time, both men were wearing light blue short-sleeved business shirts, dark blue jeans and were carrying handcuffs.
