As expected, Upper Hunter MP George Souris has announced he WON’T be contesting the March state election.
After 27 years, the Nationals member has decided to call time on his political career.
Speculation about his future began after he was dumped from cabinet earlier this year.
State Nationals Leader Andrew Stoner says Mr Souris has been a passionate advocate for regional New South Wales.
